CONSOLIDATIONS IN TOWNSHIPS THAT FALL UNDER TOWNSHIP SALDO F.A.Q.’s
Where do I go if I have questions about the process?
Since the municipality has its own SALDO, you would go to them for consolidation requirements.
Do I need to get the township signature on the consolidation application?
Yes. Because the county cannot enforce the municipalities ordinance, signatures from the township, the tax collector, and the treasurer office are required.
CONSOLIDATIONS IN TOWNSHIPS THAT FALL UNDER COUNTY SALDO F.A.Q.’s
Where do I go if I have questions about the process?
Since the municipality does not have its own SALDO, you would fall under the county’s SALDO. See the Planning office with questions on the subdivision process.
Where do I go once I get my plan map completed?
Plan maps can be submitted to the Planning office at the Courthouse. They will do their review and let you know if anything else is needed.
Do I need to have the township sign the consolidation application?
No. Since the township does not have a SALDO the only signatures that are needed are the tax collector and the Treasurer office at the Courthouse.
Do I need a new survey if I already have one recorded?
Maybe.. If the plan map is recorded independently with signatures already then no new plan map would be required, just the consolidation application and consolidation deed. If the plan map was attached as an exhibit in a previous deed or does not have signatures, then a new plan map would need submitted to planning for review before recording.
CONSOLIDATIONS IN TWP WITH INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT F.A.Q.’s
If my parcels are both on the same deed, do I need to comply with subdivision requirements?
YES! The number of deeds your parcels are on has no bearing on the consolidation process.
If I have a consolidated description already of multiple parcels but they are not consolidated, can I get them consolidated?
Yes… as long as the survey is recorded with the appropriate signatures. If the survey is not recorded with the appropriate signatures, then a new copy of the survey would need to be recorded with the appropriate township and county planning signatures accompanied with a consolidated application.
When do I need to fill out the consolidation application?
Anytime any land is being added from one parcel to another a consolidation application will be required along with the consolidation survey that is signed by the township and recorded in the office of Register and Recorders.
Do I need to have the township sign the consolidation application?
No! the township is already aware of your consolidation by signing the plan map. The only signatures required are from the local tax collector and the Treasurer office.
